Idler Covering Tape

Idlers play an important roll in any production capability, whether on a press, slitter rewinders or conveyors. Protecting these rolls is paramount in maintaining web consistency and minimizing the replacing of them.

Various coverings are available to encase these rolls, saving them from unnecessary exposure to inks,
coatings and damage.

Assures easy residue-free removal which quickens clean-up time and prevents roller damage before
it happens.

Operators may want to consider:

• Heat shrink teflon sleeves – available in 6’ lengths
• Knubby wrap – rubber faced adhesive tape - 2” wide x 25 yards in length
• Abrasive sandpaper – many grits available – adhesive or non-adhesive 2” wide x 150 feet in length
• Fiberglass tape - 3/4" wide by 60 yards in length x .010 thick 48 rolls per case
• Velcro tape – available in either hook or loop side 2” wide x 75 feet in length
• Grey fiber tape – high coefficiency friction - 2" wide x 27.5 yards in length
• Cork tape – 1” wide x 1/16 thick x 100 feet in length
